SCM-001-02-EN-GX: Security Training and Threat Awareness in the Supply ChainDescription
This eLearning course on Security Training and Threat Awareness in the Supply Chain is designed to provide students with knowledge of supply chain security and to assist them in identifying threats to the supply chain within their organization. Through best practice studies, this course will enable students to identify threats and prepare responses to secure the supply chain. Specific emphasis is placed on the provisions of the U.S. Customs and Border Protection’s Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT) program for U.S. importers and their international trade partners. This course is also designed to meet the requirements of the C-TPAT program for Security Training and Threat Awareness.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Recognize, identify and report a threat to the supply chain
- Identify security requirements for shipping and receiving areas
- Identify secure procedures for receiving and opening mail
- Identify procedures for maintaining cargo integrity
- Recognize internal conspiracies
- Identify means of protecting access controls
- Identify examples of supply chain security best practices
- Understand the benefits of implementing a recognized Supply Chain Security Program

Course Timing

Prerequisite
There are no formal prerequisites for this course. It is an introductory level course intended for anyone working within the supply chain.
